The Ubisoft E3 2015 Round-Up

The Ubisoft E3 2015 Round-Up - We Know Gamers

Going into this year’s E3, Ubisoft were in a position where they needed to impress viewers. With Assassin’s Creed Unity not hitting the quality expected of it and Watch Dogs underwhelming many that played it, Ubisoft really needed to have a strong showing this year. Would they be able to with Rainbow Six Siege, The Division and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate leading the charge?

South Park: The Fractured But Whole – Ubisoft San Francisco
The conference opened with an excellent surprise and the best titled game at E3 this year. The trailer showed the usual South Park greatness, as the game’s theme has shifted from fantasy to superheroes. While no release date was given, if it is anything like the first game, then players will be in for a hilariously good time.

For Honor – Ubisoft Montreal
This interesting new IP from Ubisoft takes three different themed armies and pits them against each other, as players choose from vikings, knights and samurais. 4 on 4 MP was shown off and looked incredibly solid for the most part, with gameplay looking like a combination of Dark Souls, Chivalry and Dynasty Warriors.

Trials Fusion Awesome Level MAX – RedLynx/Ubisoft Shanghai
Have you ever seen a desert eagle wielding, bandana wearing, cat riding, fire breathing unicorn? I didn’t think so.

Tom Clancy’s The Division – Ubisoft (March 8th 2016)
We got an excellent look at one of The Division’s ‘dark zone’ areas. The gameplay showed off that trust may play quite a big role when playing The Division, as we saw that a situation can turn into every person for themselves. All in all The Division looks great and we finally got a release date of March 8th 2016.

Anno 2205 – Ubisoft Blue Byte (November 3rd 2015)
A short trailer was shown for the latest in the futuristic city building series, in which players look to build cities on the moon.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege – Ubisoft Montreal (October 13th 2015)
A new demo of Rainbow Six Siege showed off the returning Terrorist Hunt mode, in which 5 players work cooperatively to bring down terrorists. Just like last year’s showing, the gameplay looks intense and terrific with communication being a must amongst teammates if you want to succeed.

TrackMania Turbo (November 2015)
For fans of F-Zero and Wipeout, TrackMania Turbo may just be for you. With fast cars, crazy tracks and a high level of customisation, this fun racer looks great for players looking to push some serious speed limits.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate – Ubisoft Quebec (October 23rd 2015)
In what was a major changeup from the usual Ubisoft E3 conference, Assassin’s Creed’s appearance was kept surprisingly brief. With no gameplay shown and only a CG trailer (that fans of Peaky Blinders may enjoy), Assassin’s Creed was quite the afterthought at this year’s conference.

Ghost Recon Wildlands – Ubisoft Quebec (October 23rd 2015)
For the fourth straight year, Ubisoft closed their show with an excellent looking new title that had people talking. Ghost Recon Wildlands is set to be an open world, cooperative shooter in which players can choose from a variety of different ways in how they undertake an objective. The feeling among some is that the game looks like Far Cry meets Ghost Recon, which sounds like a potentially awesome time. Just don’t expect it anytime soon.

This was quite the unusual conference from Ubisoft, as we got a nice surprise in South Park, For Honor and Ghost Recon, and saw great gameplay from The Division. Weirdly, Assassin’s Creed remained an afterthought and a lot of the other games mentioned, while solid were relatively unmemorable.
